A day with some chicks
I had the opportunity to chat with some Ms Earth Singapore contestants today at an eco-fashion workshop organised by SAVE. They are surprisingly down-to-earth & humble. One of them was chatting with me about global warming and how it would affect Singapore. At the end of that, she said that she can learn a lot from me. I guess it's funny that as one gains a higher status, it impresses others a lot when you are humble.
On another note, I'm sorry I haven't been joining you guys for ur activities. I've been real busy with Green Carnival. Qiu Han also helping out too! If you want to know what's the fuss all abt, go to www.greencarnval.com & check out our activities!

White Hair
My brother came out of the bathroom, saying that he has a strand of white hair. So he bent down and ask me to pluck it out for him. I, of course, refused. (Reason being he's 2 years younger than me.)
So he 'stomped' away, and stood in front of the mirror for moments, trying to locate the white hair and he can't find it and he laughs at the mirror. And while I'm typing this I'm laughing my head off because he's mumbling 'I saw it..I saw it...' Oh and he just said to me 'Can you don't waste my time and pluck it out??'
Oh look, he's coming over. He bends down again. I refused again. HAHAAH and he went back to the mirror! HAHA the fact is, I couldn't see that white strand! HAHAHAH OMG OMG OMG
Ohhh he's coming back again HAAAAHAHAHAAH he ask me to 'Don't play lahhh! Find that white hair!!!' He say 'Don't waste time lahhhh!!!'
*in stitches* Oh! He's got a new technique. He goes back to the mirror and locates the white hair, and he holds on to the hair, and he tells me that 'the white hair is in this group of hair'. Then he walks over. Then I knock his hand away and he laughs and he obviously has given up. He walks back to the mirror.
Then I tell him to 'aiya..give up lah...' Then he said 'Shut up lah, I'm busy lah!' HAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA!!!!!
As of now, he's looking intelligently into the mirror, his fingers working hard at locating the white strand of hair. He laughs occasionally. I think my brother is psycho. :P
HAHAHAHHAHAHHAA he's walking over here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

''seriously, what's the big fuss about? it's just a white hair what''
"a white hair is not just a white hair you know... it's self-esteem you know...''
"so when you're 50 years old, you'll not be confident anymore?"
"shut up lah. it's 11 o'clock already."
then he holds a group of hair again, and tells me to pluck it out. alright. so i plucked it out. i counted till 3 and i plucked it out on the count of 2 so that he wouldn't feel the pain, if any.
i measured the white hair. it was 5.4cm, a stunning 2cm more than the rest of his hair.

then he took the hair from me, and said
"now i must tie it into a knot."
"hah? for what?"
"because people say that if tie into a knot, i will not grow white hair anymore." he pauses and continues, "but then i've already tied a lot of knots and i still have white hair."
so he intelligently ties it into a knot.
"and then now i must throw it out of the window. this tradition is i ownself add one."
i watched him throw that strand of 5.4cm out of the window, into the night wind.
then he said to nobody in particular,
"ahhh. now i feel more confident." and walks back to his room.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh......!
1. How effectively can states safeguard their sovereignty in the contemporary international system? Is sovereignty an inviolable principle?
2. Can states lose the right to demand obedience from their citizens?

Eccentric!
there are some situations where it became weird because of the things i said. it's more like i can't control my mouth. it just tumbles out without me filtering/editing the dialogue and sometimes it's quite funny, and to an extent even, embarrassing.
1. like one night, i had dinner with a cousin and my mother. and there was the 'getai' there. so i accidentally asked my mother 'are the chairs [of the getai floor] for people who haven't die?'
2. another time i saw my acquaintances [X and Y] in school, and we talked for a while. but after that we kind of realized there's nothing much to talk after that, and there was an awkward pause, like, we were waiting for things to happen or something. so i blurted 'why don't you guys make a move first.. because.. i'm going to make a move too.' they looked at me oddly. can't blame them.
3. another time after a conversation with an ex-classmate on the corridor, i said 'ok! i gtg. i got class now, so i'll see you later! wait, not later, as in, around. what i meant is, see you around.'
4. oh then got one time lecture finished already, then i rose. but then the person on my right (whom i don't know), who is blocking the whole row's exit, was still seated. so i just asked 'aren't you moving?' and that poor foreign guy said 'no i'm hanging around here for a while.' to which i replied 'ok. as for me, i'm moving.' HAHAHA. ohmytian. my friend commented that that was VERY odd. i KNOW okay?? think i wasn't embarrassed?
5. Central library. Perk point. I needed a chair. Every chair was used. Then got one guy using TWO chairs (for his legs) and it was the chair i always used. So I walked past once, and stared at him. in the eyes. (i didn't mean to! i was trying to figure out if he's local or foreign) then i surveyed if any other free chairs again before i have to do the inevitable. nope there weren't. so i went back to him and he had already started to push the other chair (for his legs) away. [THAT WAS FUNNY!!!] i said 'i'm sorry..' then he shook his head and said 'don't worry it's perfectly alright..' 'ok, so.. i'll use this.' then i pushed the chair to the other end of the room where i can put my legs up. i mean, that was bad! bad bad bad bad baaaad...
ohmytian!!! what's wrong!!! it's like i'm eccentric!!!

Aristotle's Stage
I am baffled. So baffled. Like a castaway.
Isolation is deadly, really. It alters one's frequency with regards to the rest of the world. It makes you lose some essential qualities that you used to be proud of, qualities that are relevant to everyone around you.
You just cannot fit in.
Today I was enlightened, and hit hard by the reality of it.
I can't accept situations where you contribute to a ''group'' discussion and everyone stares at you as if you were a hispanic speaking korean. It leads you to 4 different conclusions, either/or:
1. The ''group'' members can't understand what you're saying.
2. Your idea is unsuitable/horrible/over-the-top
3. The ''group'' members are shy to speak up.
4. The ''group'' members can't see you. They're staring into space.
For this analysis I would rule out #4 since there was a distinct pause (during which I heard my own voice saying my name) after the person to my left spoke and before the person to my right spoke. Which means I'm really there. And they can see me.
And for #3, I know of someone's colleagues who DO NOT speak up during board meetings. What's the point of a meeting then? Like, everyone stares at each other? How do they get things settled? Then I realized why they don't share ideas. Because once they contribute, they'll be given the task. And so: 'why bother working more when i can get the salary all the same?' So the best thing to do? Play dumb.
And then I observed my LTs during political science and literature. When the lecturer asked a question to (us) the audience, the people responding are the ones who were A) foreign students or B) overseas-educated students. The question Dr Wong asked was 'what are some nation-states you can think of in the world?' and 5 students responded. 4 of them were foreign students. only 1 of them was singaporean. and the worst part was, she was overseas-educated (an acquaintance of mine, that's why i know). This is a serious generalization, but then it has happened.
[So let's make a parallel to the boardroom. Key words: foreign talent. is that why?]
So, #1 and #2 - they are the more probable explanations as to why such things happen during such uncomfortable group discussions. and my analysis tells me that it's due to:
1. Isolation from the rest of the world.
2. Exposure to other ideologies
3. Hence different/wrong frequency, not in "tune" with society's makings
If we look around us, we do find people being able to connect readily with each other.
like, they share the same beliefs,
understand the same films in the same way,
finding the same thing beautiful and another not,
whereas others would thing the first was ugly and the second not.
they can understand each other's views completely in less than 10 words,
they can also see the same flaws, see the flaws of seeing the flaws, see the flaws of seeing the flaws of the flaws...
i guess what i really mean is a "soul-someone". i mean, a "soul-someone". it doesn't have to be someone of the opposite gender at all. and it certainly doesn't have to involve romance or anything. to be honest i look at aristotle's stage today and i realize that even my best friends don't even come close. if i have to give an example.. the closest "soul-someone" i can find is probably my brother. like, sometimes i start a request by saying his name, and then he knows exactly what i requested for without me completing my sentence.
i wished i had a twin. or a clone.
haiz.
whatever.

Freedom of Press
The Reporters Without Borders organization was formed in 1985 and has been fighting for press freedom on a daily basis. Basically they do take care of each region (ie. Asia Pacific, the Americas, Africa etc) by compiling reports of press freedom violations. Their researchers then send protest letters to pressurize the target government who do not respect the right to inform and be informed. It also send releases to the media to gather support for such journalists under attack.
World Press Freedom Day is on May 3.
An offending word or photo may result in the journalist himself being persecuted. Hence RWB defends the persecuted and also exposes their mistreatment/torture in certain countries.
Also, RWB fights against censorship.
"198 journalists and media assistants killed since the start of fighting in Iraq in March 2003, two still missing, 14 are kidnapped"
...
"Two journalists under sentence of death now on 42nd day of hunger strikes" - Iran, yesterday
...
"With 11 journalist currently detained, Iran continues to be the Middle East’s biggest prison for the press and is one of the world’s 10 most repressive countries as regards freedom of the media." -RWB
...
The regime in Libya (a one-party state) controls the media and there are no independent press outlets. The press is simply a propaganda tool in Libya, under the rule of the “Brother Leader,” Muammar Gaddafi. Said one journalist: “In Libya, you can criticise Allah but not Gaddafi." However, times are changing, and now they have public internet access points. Hence Libyans may finally be out of the dark.
"Government gets blog service providers to sign "self-discipline" pact to end anonymous blogging" - China, two days ago
This pact was signed by at least 20 leading blog service providers in China including Yahoo.cn and MSN.cn. This marks the end to anonymous blogging in China. Upon signing to this pact, blog service providers are “encouraged” to register users under their real names and contact information before letting them post blogs. More seriously, they will be required to keep this information, which will allow the authorities to identify them. These companies have already in the past provided the police with information about their clients, resulting in arrests.
"The pact says “blog providers should monitor and manage comments ... and delete illegal and bad information in a timely manner.” Articles 11 and 12 urge them to equip themselves with a secure management system that allows them to keep bloggers’ details, including their real name, address, contact number and email address.
ISC secretary-general Huang Chengqing was clear yesterday when he said: “Blog service providers who allow the use of pseudonyms may be more attractive to bloggers, but they will be punished by the government if they fail to screen illegal information.”
Let's turn our direction to something more relevant to us:
"Singapore near bottom of press freedom index" -April 2004
Reporters Sans Frontieres recently published their 3rd Press Freedom Index, which ranked 167 countries for the degree of press freedom in them. Not surprisingly, Singapore ranked low, at position 147, i.e. 88% down from the top.
The only countries ranking lower than Singapore are dictatorships such as Burma and Pakistan, or communist countries such as Vietnam and China. Indeed, Singapore is also a one-party state, and all the main newspapers and broadcast stations are either government-owned or government-controlled.
"An adviser to former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew reprimanded Today editor Mano Sabnani in November for allowing a report to be published about a trip by Lee's wife to London for medical reasons. The young journalist who wrote the story, Val Chua, reportedly had her press card suspended."
"More famously, various foreign media have been bullied not to write searching articles about Singapore. Some, such as the Far Eastern Economic Review, have had their circulation curtailed. Others, such as the International Herald Tribune and the Economist, have either been sued in court for libel or threatened with such suits. In a recent case, the Economist was alleged to have libeled the Lee family when it said having the wife of the Prime Minister as head of the holding company that owned most government-linked businesses, suggested nepotism. The Economist chose to apologise and settle rather than fight the case in court. No one has yet won such cases against government figures in Singapore. "

A Discussion on Discussions
Suddenly that very word appears alien to me: DISCUSSION.
Now what exactly is a discussion? (Try defining it on your own before you read on.)
......
......
Is a discussion an act of one person sharing his view to another and the other doing likewise? Or does a discussion have to come to a certain level of compromise or agreement in order to qualify as a discussion? Or does a discussion have to involve 2 or more conflicting views? Because as far as I see it, without 2 or more conflicting views, it's a conversation. What's a conversation? What's a discussion?
Dictionary.com says it is
an act or instance of discussing; consideration or examination by argument, comment, etc., esp. to explore solutions; informal debate.
American Heritage Dictionary says it is
1. Consideration of a subject by a group; an earnest conversation.
2. A formal discourse on a topic; an exposition.
So is a discussion simply an exchanging of views without coming to a conclusion or does is it also comprised of a compromise? Because as far as I understand the definitions, two people can engage in a headlock argument and come out of the room saying "we had a good discussion on that issue."

more musings
you see, it doesn't occur to you if you own that something that everyone else has.
cos, it only occurs to you if you don't own something that everyone else has.
someone (he's a foreigner without a handphone) has mentioned in my nm forum, why is it that we need a mobile phone for everything in singapore? this is what he says:
"1. International Student Services (ISS) invited me to join the Conversation Exchange Corner, a program helping students to improve speaking skill. The application form online is indeed very detailed in the way that it required a handphone number.
2. CORS feedback form online does also required a handphone number.
3. When I applied for NUS Debit Card issued by DBS Bank, the bankteller insisted that I must have a handphone to continue."
have we moved on into a new age without my knowledge?
and then we look into the education system and i wonder, what happens to graduates from ITE?
what happens to students who couldn't make it into university?
those who are able to afford overseas tertiary education, that's fine. but what about those who can't? do they have a way out?
cos, it only occurs to you if you don't own something that everyone else has.
someone (he's a foreigner without a handphone) has mentioned in my nm forum, why is it that we need a mobile phone for everything in singapore? this is what he says:

B&B
i can't stand it. i don't understand why the "globally-recognized" NUS comes with bidding and balloting [b&b] which costs us all HOURS in front of cors and what not, trying to tie the loose ends. and [b&b] though they sound different, holds ultimately the same concept. can you see that? rank 1: 20 points. rank 2: 19 points. and so on.
and then i start to wonder, why can't nus function as other unis do? why not just publish the no. of vacancies for each tut slot, and students sign up accordingly, guaranteed of their seat?
it's like really bad, like, how my schedule is screwed up. like for example how my tuesdays are from what, 3pm to 8pm??? and weds are like 2pm to 8pm??
the only light at the end of the tunnel explains to me that [b&b] is simply a system that ensures that place allocation is fair in the sense that if let's say a student haven't got the time to rush to the portal when [b&b] starts when all his peers have done it, he would be disadvantaged. so that's the only reason i can think of.
sigh.
at this moment in time some tears just came out by accident because oprah is on, and she just fulfilled an african girl's dream of going to school. can you see what she's telling me?
oh man! what do we do!

my grandma broke her arm.
that's the thing about the elderly, they are so fragile even though their external looks stronger than their internal, however lively they may appear to be. and i don't understand why anlene isn't working.
and my grandmother... i feel guilty about it, because i asked her out to watch the 'lao-lang' movie 881 by royston tan. and when i met her she was holding her wrist, i ask her what happened and she said she fell down while crossing the road. i mean, we were meeting at 12 but she was there earlier. old people, they have a knack for punctuality. everytime we meet up for a movie she's always earlier than me. EVERY SINGLE TIME. and don't say that i should have got there earlier, i was there at 11.45am and she was already there!!!
if only i didn't ask her out to watch 881. none of these would have happened...
so this post is just to remind you (and myself) of the fragility of the elderly.
i just got a call. my the other grandmother, on mom's side of the family, just called me to bring her to 881 because i've no school today.

A Complaint. (I can't stand it!!!!)
Games can contribute positively to one's mental development.
But they can also be detrimental and brain-washing and highly radioactive.
Take the stupid game that we should NOT have played during that chalet. The stupid pig game that resulted in a certain freshman being ostracized even AFTER the game. That stupid Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 and as if that's not enough, they coined the mind-blowing, hand-in-hand, and convenient term: "ULTIMATE PIG".
And a certain person that goes by the email of w**j***85 has been destroying a freshman's hope of a clean and respectable start to her uni life by uttering that fatal term U______ P__ in front of his friends when that freshman was most unfortunately within his radius. How the victim wished she wasn't there at all.
(Ironically however, the victim was walking towards the Deck. But that's not the point here!)
Oh, and that's not all. That person that goes by the email of w**j***85 has generously dedicated his MSN nick with "Ultimate PIG, told you not to let me see you in sch le".
How the world needs more of such.
I urge the relevant authorities to look into the matter.
OH ya, did i mention?? I took a photo with paul twohill! haha. it's my lucky month. :)

i went to the triathlon at east coast on sat and sunday as a spectator, not a participant of course, and my eyes went dancing! but nope i was strictly working okay!!! i met my old teacher there too. and later on in the day it rained and disrupted some of the waves that's why some pple were quite pissed. so in the end the olympic tri became a duo because of the rain. haiz, sucks! but anyway still i ate some snakes [i really couldn't help it! i needed those shots!] and caught some lovely shots after TENS of attempts. just wanna share it with u guys:

this was when the hot bodies took off. not a fantastic shot, but look at the placing of the ships in the distant. they say something about the triathlon. sometimes i wish i had a REAL CAM. grrr...

this guy was right in front of me and i took more than 4 minutes to take the perfect shot- check out the angle of his head. and i was so happy when he was in red. his right arm was in a perfect position so the photo just rocks!!!!

finally after the 18th attempt my camera understood the kind of focus i wanted. cos you know we can't do those with a lousy digital camera. and just nice he was the only biker that came out wide, and i captured the shot proudly! go ixus!!!
haha, looks like i owe my ixus a treat. *muacks!*
lol... kk. gotta zzz liao.
nitez! :)

thankfully the space above the leader's head is just right! if he had looked up at that instant i would have cried! this shot was snapped at the right time cos all the triathletes were in view, even the laggers. i think there was no better timing! woooohooooo!

Outings...
Firstly, thanks for the thanks i received for the chalet.. haha.. i had fun with u guys too..
Right now, I will combine all the proposed outings into one post..
1. Wild Wild Wet/ Escape
I'm sure u all dun wan the 4 FREE tickets to go to waste right? So why bother saving money for them? Find a time to go and have fun again.. I propose Tuesday 31st July before ernnie's movie outing..
Thats like the best time i can think of for now..
2. Ernnie's Simpsons
Movie is just a one night thingy. So it wouldn't take up much of everyone's time. I think it's a good idea to have one.. Ernnie's suggestion is on Tuesday after dinner.. Ernnie's at HK.. So liase with Sun Quan..
3. Jeremy's clubbing
Actually i dun think there's anything called club inertia.. But anyway I'm totally interested in this clubbing suggestion. But we need girls right???! So girls, no matter seniors or freshies, pls try to make jeremy happy by going? It's on wednesday 1 Aug.. Night of course.. Clubbing is a place to chill and have fun.. Maybe it can be sleazy at times.. but in a big group, i dun think anything is gg to happen on any of us.. just dun leave the grp lo..
4. Jason's Sentosa
Jason wanted to have a sentosa outing... But i guess the tight schedule and the recent outings have made him lose his interest in it.. We must support our KC shouldn't we?! But he will wan to have 75% attendence which is like 15 ppl?? We haven't played volleyball yet.. )= Sentosa is most likely a whole day thing.. So i leave the time slot open for this..
Though we all know that after school reopens it will be hard to have any outings.. But it all boils down to how much we want it.. Maybe some will find the outings are too frequent but having fun is never enough.. I'm a busy person but I still try to fork out time for everything.. It's just how we prioritise our stuff.. Whether we have more outing(s) from now to school opens all depends on each and everyone of u..

The Most Important Announcement In Your Life
Hi stainboys/non-stainboys/browsers:
Please read VERY carefully because..........
I've got the most important annoucement to make:
....I TOOK A PHOTO WITH TAY PING HUI!!!
I'm not a crazy fan nor anyone's fan in our local celeb scene but this guy's sweet!
kkk WAIT, let me explain everything to you. I was working in suntec right then I was walking with my manager E when suddenly E said 'oh my gosh is that tay ping hui [T]?' then i stun dio and i really stun for very long can! then without taking my eyes off him [he was with with the mediacorp crew] i dug my cam out of my bag and i annouced to E that i was going to take a photo with T no matter what it takes. then E was like moving backwards AWAY FROM ME [E's so pang seh can!] cos i was waving to T. i mean, i was waving casually, like a friend to a friend, not like a siao enthu fan... and T smiled at me ok????!!!!!
and you know what??? i went right up to the crew [i think in the midst of their discussion] and said 'may i take a photo with...mr...tay..?' then the director/producer/bung said condescendingly, 'maybe later?' and i just backed off. but i hovered around in the background with E, and i told E that i'm going to cause a scene in the filming by adding my own lines. HAHAHAH omgg!!!
then after about 5-6 mins T came towards US or rather, ME, and i wasn't facing him then. thankfully i didn't know he was walking towards me, if not i would have fainted THERE AND THEN. i mean, seriously, i'm not a fan like those girlish girls but i was genuinely touched by his good manners and non-taoness. so when i turned around i stun dio ok!!! ---> T was right in front of me! and T is really damn tall, and his shoulders were so broad. and he was smiling. but i don't like him in any romantic way. i just feel good about it. and i actually almost asked for his number but i stopped myself cos it'll be really really weird. i don't know what do you classify that under..., i mean, i don't feel for him in any way cos he's a celeb. arghh. but anyway.. and yes E took a really really good photo of me and T!:

then after that i said 'thank you...' and i think i was gaping at him [i wished i didn't! i looked like an idiot!] cos he was like 'why?' [he was SMILING] and i said nothing nothing [and i'm SMILING]... but i think i kept staring at him! then he walked away towards his crew, then he turned around again [SMILING], and i shook my head again [SMILING].
ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm going mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i maintain my stand that i don't have feelings for celebs. seriously i DON'T.
i saw another actor there- he acted as xiaoxin in holland village. i don't know his name, i just know him as xiaoxin. but i didn't take photo with him cos it just wasn't quite there. ...if you know what i mean.
can't go for any more of the outings. it's karma, like, you know, being too free for a period of time, then now gotta repay e slack period with 24/7. so now i'm paying off time debts. am broke [time-wise]! have fun in all the outings! :)Wednesday, July 25, 2007
2nd Attempt at the Impossible
Trying to get a bunch of NUS kids to club is the next hardest thing that getting a Camel through the eye of the Needle, but still, my balls outweigh my brains and I have the will of a cockroach; so, here I am, with my second attempt to coordinate this.
The rules are simple:
1st August.
Wednesday.
Mambo Night.
Zouk.
2 weeks before school starts.
4 days before 0 week.
Dancing.
Drinking.
No Sausage Party.
Probably a Lost Cause.
Who's Game?
- Jer: Shallow King / Immortal Vampire / Boyfriend Material of 2005 / Scariest Guy of 2007(?)
P.S. Will someone with the right articulation and fortitude please attempt to explain to me how I bagged the last prize? My questions only seem to be begged further every time I attempt to probe for an answer.

Chalet final
Hi again,
chalet meet up time for check in is 1pm at pasir ris mrt station, though i doubt there will be many ppl checking in.. (no need for doughnuts.. )=) For those who are not sure where the place is, it is at Costa Sands Pasir Ris unit no M06.
For directions, take to pasir ris mrt, take the bus at the interchange to downtown east (i think is 358), alight at downtown east and walk along the fence. You should see the carpark on your left as ur walking down the path and u will reach a small wooden bridge. To your left ,behind the fence, will now be the escape theme park where all the roller coasters and mechanical wonders are (u need to pay to get in..) but the more important thing is to ur right, u should see a small path leading to a chalet and the first block u shld see is D or E i dun remember but there will be a bicycle kiosk on ur right as u enter the compound. If u see the bicycle kiosk, then turn left and just cut through the chalets (dun walk to the carpark!) and maintain ur direction till u see block M. U wun be able to see block M on the signs at the walkway. the only way is block M is just beside block L which is by the swimming pool. If u dun understand what i'm saying or u still do get lost, pls call me..
Regards,
Jeffery

Self-Fright Night Rejected
Hey
Let's stay away from real spooks shall we? Not the red house and definitely not that hospital. I don't think we'll have a good time offending the real, er, things, there.
Our every activity revolves around alcohol, seriously. CH3-OH, C2H5-OH, C3H7-OH etc...
But I say Y E S for night walk!
Rock on!

Activities?
Hey all.. if u wanna nite cycling.. u hav to loan the bike in the day.. i is quite sure that the bike shop closes quite early.. i.e. before 6.. thats if it still exists..
Alternatively u may wanna consider nite WALK instead of cycling.. since pasir ris isnt that big.. i is quite sure it will take less than 1hr to explore the place on bike but the whole nite to explore the place on foot.. we could maybe settle for pasir ris park when we get tired from all the walkin..
U all may also wanna check out fisherman village to binge or chill.. maybe share a few jugs of house pours or non alcoholic drinks n can talk cock the whole nite or maybe half the nite..
The other alternative for binging is to settle with the absolut that your dear kc is gonna bring.. maybe some of u might wanna join me to get some mixers from nearby convenient stores..
For those of u who wanna experience the thrills of self fright nite.. i think can try out the infamous red house.. shd be haven tear down yet.. even if tear down liao.. there's always the old CGH at changi V..
If u all wan nite snack.. there r lots of eateries around.. includin the 24hr big M.. or maybe u all can ask jason to cook mash potatoes.. lol.. food is nv a problem..
Last but not least.. it will be great if there's another round of the 'traditional' truth-or-dare session.. maybe u all can get jeremy to follow up on which freshie has the nicest ass for the yr of 2007..

No stayover after bbq
Hi all,
just to inform you that there will NOT be a stayover after the bbq as mentioned earlier. However, I still need people to buy stuff for the chalet before we check in. The idea now is to meet at Pasir Ris MRT at 12PM on Monday. We will have lunch and buy stuff and check in. So who's game for it??? For those who still wish to thong through the night may still stay... hahaz..

wait, i halt this first for non-relevant news/complains again:
my friend got into USP!!!!! i'm so happy for her!!!!!! during the interview she thought she wasn't going to make it cos firstly she signed up late, and secondly the professors were VERY sarcastic to her (we suspect racism)!!!!! ahhhhh!!!! this calls for the champagne!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D so having two friends in the usp, if i appeal for usp would i get in????? ahhhaaaaaahaaaaa siao!

grrrrrrrrrrrrr
i'm a person capable of being rational (sometimes) and being very terribly understanding and accomodating and forgiving and basically i am a VERY NICE PERSON, BUT....
do you know that when you set up a meet with someone, you are expected to meet the person NO MATTER WHAT (ok, unless emergency matters) and NOT sms the night before and say, "oh i don't feel like going cos the big M is here".
the worst part of it? that person DID NOT even APOLOGIZE. (@#&*%^!!!!)
if you CAN'T go or not sure if you can go, SAY SO! so that the person on the other end won't give second-class priority to other potential activities so soon.
what kind of a friend is that?? is this a time where i'm qualified to say that person doesn't deserve my friendship??
this has nothing to do with any of you but i just need somewhere (and a lot of somewheres indeed) to vent my grrrrrness. i'm sorry.
oh great, so now i got nothing to do tomorrow. recently i've been losing a lot of friends, it must be the stars.
%#$@*&^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the ultimate CURE
omg!!!
i can't stand the excitement!!!
ok ok ok *breathes*
the reason why i bother setting this up at all is not because i'm reminiscent of the good old days but RATHER i can't stand reading the emails all at one shot, it's not coherent and many have voiced their opinions. (right, sun????)
hence the CURE.
(ahhhhh!!! so exciting!!!!!!)
anyone is free to post anything they like, however there are some ground rules:
1. Do not change the template because info may be lost!
2. Die die must sign off with your NAME so we know whose suggestion or whatever it is
3. Non Stainboys are not allowed to post
So after this post I'll start breaking the news of the birth of our blog via your email.
*Now in Labour...pussshhhh*
